Nice enough, great setting, terrible service in restaurant

Beautiful location and surroundings. Food in the restaurant tasted good, but a shame about the poor service.

Restaurant service abysmally slow - even when there were just four of us in the place. Definitely more staff needed. Room was very hot even with air conditioning, but thankfully we borrowed a fan and this helped.

Bittersweet experience

Everything was really pleasant unless that someone from the cleaning team stole my Airpods.

Someone from the cleaning team stole my Apple Airpods from my room. I managed to find them through the app location and I explained to the reception desk team that helped me to recover the Airpods and the guy (he was temporary worker) was fired.

It was nice hotel, good value but poorly managed - some of the staff need to be trained in interpersonal skills

Nice located in beautiful garden complex

Some staff were very rude The restaurant was continually out of things on the menu There was no ice cream for duration of our stay but was still on the menu

The breakfast is so good.

The location is easy to be reached by bus.

The shower in the bathroom is not working properly. The water was running down so little. Also, the hot water was very dominant when I took the shower. There is no cold water.

Very Good

The landscape of the hotel surrounded by traditional houses; good breakfast; friendly staff. Important: the hotel is located at the main road. This is very convenient since the bus from makassar can drop you or pick you up right in front of the hotel

WiFi was very weak and slow. The room and specially the bathroom are kind of old and need renovation.

Amazing staff, welcomed with drink and hot towels for the hands. Dinner with live music (top musicians) and nice structure

Very good traditional hotel in the Toraya country

Excellent traditional hotel in Toraya area. Rooms were spacious and clean. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices.

The reception staff has not been helpful at all. We had a problem with our air tickets and asked the receptionist to make a call to the airport office, but he told us that the phone line is not working. However, another local person made this call for us later. Also, we asked in the afternoon for a taxi to have dinner downtown and he did not bother to make a call at all, so we had to get out and take a tuc tuc from the street.

Pleasant Haven in Torajaland

1. Helpful staff though done English problems in restaurant. 2. Lovely grounds. 3. Large rooms with huge bathroom 4. Excellent same day laundry service

1. Poor WIFI, even in common areas it is slow. 2. Food very mediocre (but breakfast buffet is copious and reasonably good) 3. Note there is no air con. But you don’t need it as evenings are cool. 4. Street noise. Bring earplugs.

Excellent

Beautifully laid out grounds with examples of Torajan houses. stunning setting and convenient for Rantepao and other Tanatoraja destinations. Excellent travel and touring arrangements, with pickup from Makassar and a very sensitive and engaging three day tour of Torajan highlights before return to Makassar. Ask for Mr Immanuel as guide and Mr Nixon as driver. They are a great team.

Bathrooms could do with modernisation. Quotations from scriptures around the grounds seem a little strange to a nonbeliever, though not objectionable. These are very small negatives set against the positives of this place.

Toraja Misiliana Hotel helped me yo have a great stay in Toraja

First of all,the amazing kind and profesional staff that made everything to feel special!Early check-in,free upgrade so I could get a very quiet room,transfer arrangements back to Palopo airport(thank you again,mr.Handoko).The hotel is situated in a very good location and the breakfast is great,with a big variety of fruits and traditional food,as well as western choices.

Small issue with the double expresso in the last morning,not what I expected and came after more than 45 min,but I think it was ok considering the hour(6 am)????

The rooms were spaceaous and cool, the view from the balcony was great. The staff is very helpful. The hotel consists of cottages in a large garden, which we liked.

The double bed was too wobbly!

Go to Misialiana and you will experience the true hospitality of Toraja

The location, the garden and the staff are amazing. I loved the atmosphere I have found. The place is quiet and full of green. The staff is helpful and kind. I have stayed two nights in the Tongkonan suite. It was an immersive experience. Then we have moved to the Family suite (I hope this is the correct room name). It was nice althought less traditional than the Tongkonan house. I really loved the "music" from the garden performed by frogs and crickets during the night.

The quality of the food served for the breakfast buffet is pretty good even if I suffered a bit the small variety for the continental breakfast. The bathroom of the rooms should be improved (the one in the Tongkonan suite is quite "experienced", the one in the family suite was having low pressure for hot water).

Reasonably nice hotel for your Toraja outing.

Close to tourist spots.

AC could be better. Room actually has an opening on top of the door to the outside, so the room could never be as cold as you like. Weak WiFi.

Enjoyed our stay!

Location was great, staff super friendly and the food okay.

To be a real 4 star hotel I think they should be able to provide AC or a fan, at least if people ask about it. Also the WiFi was super weak.
